April 19, 2019 was the 14th day Nisan. To most people (who aren’t Jewish) that doesn’t mean anything. But it was on April 19, one thousand nine hundred and eighty eight years ago, that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Over the sacred Sabbath hours Jesus, our Savior, our Friend, our Example, reseted in the tomb. Then on Sunday, oh joyous morning, He rose again offering new life to all who believe in Him, put their faith and trust in His shed blood, and obediently follow Him.

Our Salvation cost Jesus a complete and total consecration of Himself, His life, His work. He had to take up His cross daily, and had to set Himself apart daily for the work His Father called Him to.

And so do we (Luke 9:23). Consecration will cost us something. EVERYTHING! But that investment pays very well and comes with great reward.
