Satan’s two attempts at prophecy (Job 1:11, 2:5) proves two things.  FIRST, he doesn’t know the future.  And SECOND, he doesn’t know the power of God’s love.

Satan wanted Adam and Eve to believe that he did know the future (Gen 3:4, 5).  But half-truths equal a whole lie.  They did die, and so do we.  And the only way humanity has became more like God is we now know what evil is.  The real truth is we are far less like God who is love (1 John 4:8).

The story of Job proves that Satan certainly has lost sight of how much God’s love can transform a life.  Our enemy was prophetically sure that SELF, once placed upon the throne, will never allow God to retake His rightful position.  Once again he was wrong, wrong with Job (Job 1:22; 2:3, 9, 10) and he can be wrong about us as well.  God has left us so many promises (Jer 31:3; Eze 36:26, 27; Mat 19:25b, 26; Phi 2:13; 4:13) and we can choose to embrace them.  We too can be a living example of God’s grace and His goodness.

Let’s let God show the world through us, that His love is stronger than sin and death.
